Holiday-Shortened Week: Markets in the US, UK, and Europe will be closed for Good Friday, yet the calendar still features significant market-moving events.
US economic data and PCE inflation: The upcoming week features significant US economic releases, including February’s Durable Goods Orders, Q4 GDP final estimate, and PCE inflation figures. The crucial inflation report is released on Friday when markets are closed, complicating traders’ strategies due to the inability to react until Monday.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s Discussion: Powell’s participation in a moderated discussion at a San Francisco Fed conference will be a key event, with the financial community looking for cues on future monetary policy direction.
Updates from the UK and Eurozone: The UK will update its final Q4 GDP, offering a clearer picture of the economic performance at the year’s end. Meanwhile, the Eurozone will release consumer and business sentiment data following flash PMI releases.
